This years crop of vegetables and herbs were planted this week. These green beans started sprouting within a few days and are already about 4 or 5 inches tall. All the other plants have just started sprouting as well but none are near tis size.
My father helped me install a new exterior light near our new front door.
We got our riding mower repaired this week and will be using it for the first time this season in a few days. The gasoline consumption is comparable to when I mow the entire yard with the walk-behind mower because the cutting deck is almost twice as large and it moves around the yard a lot quicker than the smaller mower. My wife would prefer we get a couple of grazing goats to keep the grass under control. I'm not sure how Calvin would handle that or if we're zoned for that kind of thing but I'm warming to the idea. Be sure and turn off the mower before attempting to clear these areas. Finally, mowing wet grass is also harder for you. Slipping or losing control of the mower on slopes is a danger. Always mow across a slope (never up and down) with a walk behind mower. Walk-Behind Mowers
