Between Oakleigh Centro and the railway line the path is blocked in dry weather so only about 50% is usable, in wet weather the bushes hang down even further. There is real danger of eye injury from branches or for people to get their bikes caught in the bushes and get thrown off.
I found that if you report it to Monash council they will trim the bushes -- it seems to take between 6-8 weeks from report to action, so make sure you report the problem 2 months before it appears!Hedge Trimmers
